Whitening/Bleaching

If you are looking for brighter whiter teeth, we have a few different options for you. Teeth whitening is ideal for people who have healthy teeth and gums. Tooth discoloration may result from drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine; or from smoking. Whitening toothpastes can lighten the tooth’s color by about one shade. In contrast, light-activated whitening can make your teeth three to eight shades lighter.

Trays

Tray-based tooth whitening systems involve filling a mouth guard-like tray with a gel whitening solution which contains a peroxide-bleaching agent. The tray is worn for a period of time, generally from a couple of hours a day to every day during the night for up to four weeks depending on the degree of discoloration and desired level of whitening. Impressions are taken in office and the trays are custom fit for your mouth and you are ready to go.

In-Office Whitening

When you do in-office whitening you will leave with immediate whiter results. Gel is applied to your teeth for three 15 minute sessions of light activation, for a total treatment time of 45 minutes. Immediately afterwards, a sensitivity-reducing fluoride gel is applied to the teeth. While you are in the chair, we will be making you trays to take home with you to do any future touch up bleaching from home.
